		<description>This process failed to work for me.   My volume was somehow getting overwritten and corrupted by the fdisk program.  As a result, e2fsck was yielding a &quot;bad magic number&quot; error on the new partition, and the volume had to be junked.

However, using the &quot;sfdisk&quot; program instead of &quot;fdisk&quot; seems to have solved the problem.</description>
